Listen: The Crooked Nails
We are delighted to welcome The Crooked Nails to Yellow Leaf Music!
A snapping double bass and a growling guitar trade old stories, daydreams and slices of life, turning them into blues tunes. A harmonica becomes a folk melody, and chains, scraps of wood and metal clash together to stamp out the beat of a primitive rock’n’roll. It is a duo born from an unplanned first gig, which became a trio without even noticing, and which leaves room for the improvised and the sensitive to offer music of the moment, sincere and raw.
After Everything Looks Like a Nail (2023), the band is releasing two new albums this year, Tales from the Waterland and Songs to the Dustland, available on CD and vinyl.
