Autumn is settling in, and projects are following one another around our artists: summer concerts for Convoitise, new songs in the making, a collaboration between two of them… and, worth a mention, the piano lessons Hervé Dupuis offers in Paris.
And some very good news: our listening figures are climbing steadily, with +31% streams over the last three months and +104% over six months, which is more than double. Thank you to everyone who listens, shares and comes to the gigs: it’s all thanks to you.

A legendary track
From time to time, we look back at a track that left its mark on music: its story, how it was made, its legacy. To launch the series: “Honesty”, by Billy Joel.
“Honesty” · Billy Joel
Album 52nd Street (1978) · single in 1979 · produced by Phil Ramone
A piano ballad, a voice, a lyric with no detours: “Honesty” is one of Billy Joel’s purest songs. Recorded in New York in 1978 for the album 52nd Street, it was released as a single in spring 1979. It reached 24th place on the Billboard Hot 100, became number 1 in France and was nominated for Song of the Year at the 1980 Grammy Awards.
It all rests on almost nothing: a ballad in B-flat major, in 4/4, at around 80 beats per minute, carried by Billy Joel’s piano, a few touches of acoustic guitar (David Spinozza), Liberty DeVitto’s drums and discreet orchestrations by Robert Freedman. The message is a plea for sincerity, in love as in everything else. Beyoncé covered it in 2008, proof that the song hasn’t aged a day.
